The building code allowed on this site small collective housing projects. However, the client wished to offer future residents as many of the advantages of single unit housing (and something more) for a final sale price that would not exceed that of an apartment with similar floor area. It was a balance between quality and density in a city characterized by an acute housing crisis.

There were a few aspects pursued in the project: the framing in the silhouette of the area, the use of the natural slope of the terrain as an element of varity and the posibility of using the roof as a terrace.

Regarding the floor plan, the internal (partly non-structural) partitions allow variations that ensure the adaptability according to the preferences of those who will occupy each of the houses in the future.
